Jed Beaton (Monster Energy CDR Yamaha) – First overall:
It was important that I made some points up today and kept the championship lead in my hands. I knew Kyle [Webster] would be strong here as this type of soil is what he likes, so I needed to stand my ground and have a good round, and we were able to do that. I would love to have won the last race and thought I had an area of the track where I was better, but just couldn’t make it happen. Kyle is smart enough to cover if he feels I have an advantage somewhere, so I think I need to be a little more aggressive when I think I can make a pass and just get it done. The team did a great job as always. We made a bike change after qualifying, and it was the right move – it was much better in the races. Next up is Canberra, and it is nothing like we raced today. The dirt is rock hard there, and it’s a jump-filled track, so conditions will be much different from today, and again, I need to keep my head in the game and focused on getting the best result I can out of each and every race

Kyle Webster (Boost Mobile Honda Racing) – Second overall:
You can’t crash in this class and expect to win, that cost me in race one. But I regrouped, the pain faded as soon as the gate dropped in race two. Winning that race was crucial to our championship hopes.

Wilson Todd (Berry Sweet Honda Racing) – Fourth overall:
This is the first full season I’ve had in over a year and my first ever on the 450. It’s tough, but I’m fighting. I want that top three overall, and I know it’s possible.

Nathan Crawford (KTM Racing Team) – Third overall:
That’s four out of five podiums for me this year, so I’m happy with that. From the first lap of practice I felt comfortable today and we didn’t change a clicker on the bike all day – I could focus on my riding and I think that showed. I felt I rode with more spark. This podium felt a lot more earned and my starts were really good. I holeshot the first moto and was second around the corner in the second moto. I was really happy with my early intensity, because I fought hard and got into the lead, and little wins like that throughout the day are what I’m chasing.

Kirk Gibbs (KTM Racing Team) – Eighth overall:
I struggled a bit today, which was surprising as I’ve ridden here a lot and have a good feeling on the track. I tried to rely on that, but I put myself in bad positions off the start, and that made things difficult for me. I need to make a few little changes before the next round, so we’ll keep pushing forward and look to improve at Canberra.

Todd Waters (Raceline Husqvarna TDub Racing Team) – Seventh overall:
Today was fun! In the first moto, I got into third and was ticking off the laps, but the fitness wasn’t there and I faded. I’ve been working on my starts a lot and I holeshot the second race, which was probably the highlight of my day. The boys went back past me, but it was nice to be up front and show I had some heart. Overall, it was a positive day for us. We hit our starts and got ourselves in good positions, but now I know what I need to work on fitness-wise to improve next time.

Ryder Kingsford (Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha) – Fourth overall:
It wasn’t the day I was hoping for, and I just felt a bit off all day. I wasn’t cornering the way I wanted to, and I just didn’t have any flow in my riding. It was more of a fight today. I was better in race two, but If I’m being honest, I should have won that race. I was right there, but I didn’t have it in me today, but it only motivates me more, and I will rebound at Canberra. Brodie [Connolly] didn’t have the perfect day either, so I didn’t lose that many points in the championship, so that is a positive to take away. I know I’m better than how I raced today, and I will fix that when we get to the next round.

Jayce Cosford (Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha) – Sixth overall:
I felt like in each race I just had some lazy laps at times, and I just lost the tow of the lead group because of it. I was able to pick it back up during the race and run a similar pace, but with the top five riding at such a good level, any time you lose focus, the gap gets away from you pretty quickly. It gives me something to work on over the next couple of weeks, and my goal at Canberra is to maintain the intensity for the full 30 minutes.

Brodie Connolly (Polyflor Honda Racing) – Second overall:
Someone took us all out in the first turn. I was dead last, there were three or four of us on the ground. Still, I pushed hard and was happy with my riding. Seeing Alex [Larwood] and Honda win was a silver lining.

Alex Larwood (National Finance and Loans Honda Racing) – First overall:
I made changes after Traralgon to my routine, diet, and mindset. This weekend proved it was worth it. This is a team win.

Byron Dennis (KTM Racing Team) – Fifth overall:
Today wasn’t as good as the previous round for me and it certainly wasn’t my best day, although the result was okay in the end. I got a good start in the first race, but I got boxed out in the second moto and had to come back through the field. I feel like I’m riding well, I just need to put myself in a better position early and make the best out of the opportunities that are presented to me out on the track.

Noah Ferguson (KTM Racing Team) – Third overall:
I’m pretty stoked with today and to have achieved four podiums from five rounds so far this year. That’s a first for me. I got a good start to the first moto, but I got arm-pump at the halfway mark. That was on me and we learnt from that. I ripped another good start to moto two, dug deep and led a lot of laps. Unfortunately, a couple of mistakes cost me late, but I’m happy with where we’re at, our progress, and the bike.

Jack Kukas (Raceline Husqvarna TDub Racing Team) – 15th overall:
It wasn’t the day I was looking for. I put in a lot of effort over the past month to try and get everything back on track, but we experienced some unfortunate issues from the beginning of the day that were out of everyone’s control. After retiring early from the first moto, I felt I hadn’t spent enough time on the track and struggled to find a flow in that second race. We’ve got three rounds left to try and earn some solid points and finish the season strongly.
