Still uncertain who will be the final winner of round two overall.
It remains unclear whether Ryder Kingsford or Brodie Connolly will be awarded the MX2 overall from Appin’s second round of ProMX 2025, with an appeal process still up in the air leading into Gillman this weekend.
Polyflor Honda Racing’s defending champion Connolly was initially handed the winner’s trophy post-race, before a penalty decision reversal ultimately led to Ryder Kingsford (Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha) being named the winner.
A brief notice circulated by the ProMX Management Team to competitors on Friday – available in full below – confirmed that the appeal is yet to be determined and that it will remain undetermined through this weekend’s third round in South Australia:
All MX2 Teams & Riders are advised that the appeal process with respect to MX2 Moto 2 of ProMX Rd.2 – Appin remains ongoing, and the outcome of the appeal will not be finalised prior to ProMX Rd.3 – Gillman this weekend. In accordance with this procedure, all results from MX2 Moto 2 of ProMX Rd.2 – Appin remain provisional until further notice and are subject to the outcome of the appeal. More information will be provided when available.
With Connolly’s two-position penalty from MX2 moto two at Appin currently remaining in place, he holds a narrow four-point advantage over Kingsford entering Gillman this Sunday.
