Motocross model due to arrive in selected dealerships this September.
Ducati has revealed that the Desmo450 MX production model will arrive in select Australian dealers from September this year, with a starting price of $16,300 locally.
The Borgo Panigale manufacturer has already made a significant impact since entering motocross competition, winning the Italian MX1 title with Alessandro Lupino on debut last year.
While Lupino – who has now turned his attention to developing the Desmo250 MX – and high-profile factory test rider Tony Cairoli have been instrumental in the development process, Ducati has also moved to enter the MXGP World Championship with Jeremy Seewer and Mattia Guadagnini in the Aruba.it Ducati Factory MX Team.
Ducati is yet to unveil the Desmo450 MX in the specification that it will reach dealerships, however, its pricing appears competitive with its premier class competitors – within $1000 of the majority of its nearest competitors in the Australian market.
