Ducati will debut its yet-to-be-seen Desmo250 MX at this weekend’s Italian championship round in Ottobiano, the Italian manufacturer continuing its motocross project with Alessandro Lupino in MX2.

Lupino, 34, clinched the MX1 title with Ducati last season and has since turned his attention to the Borgo Panigale brand’s 250 program, in which he will enter all six rounds of the domestic series in 2025.

Ducati has partnered with Beddini Racing to house its Desmo250 MX entry with factory test rider Lupino at the helm, which will follow a similar path of the Desmo450 MX development strategy beginning one year ago.

It has since made its full-time MXGP World Championship entry, finishing fourth overall with the Aruba.it Ducati Factory MX Team rider Mattia Guadagnini on debut in Argentina last weekend. High-profile teammate Jeremy Seewer was seventh overall at the Cordoba circuit.

The production variant of the premier class contender from Ducati will break cover on April 3 and will begin to arrive in dealerships throughout June and July.
