Teenager injured while training ahead of Adelaide weekend.
Raceline Husqvarna SX2 prospect Cambell Williams has been injured while training for this weekend’s Adelaide round of the 2024 Fox Australian Supercross Championship (AUSX), sustaining a broken femur on Monday and ending his season.
Williams, 19, has been in a satellite-type program with the official Husqvarna team during AUSX and finished P8 as an SX2 rookie at Wollongong’s third round of the series.
“Unfortunately, earlier today I had a practice crash that resulted in a broken femur,” Williams announced. “This year has been a rollercoaster journey and ending it like this is heartbreaking, but we’ve learned a lot along the way and navigated some tough times.
“I’m proud of what I achieved and this experience has only made me more committed and driven for 2025. Thank you to the people in my corner who continue to support me through even the hardest times. You have to struggle to truly understand what it means to succeed.”
Prior to joining Raceline Performance for supercross, a first campaign in the MX2 class of ProMX saw Williams finish 11th in the final standings, claiming a season-high second-place result in the opening moto at MX Farm while riding a privateer Yamaha.
