Former Australian motocross champion Aaron Tanti will miss Anaheim 1 on Saturday, his full-time Monster Energy Supercross debut to be delayed.

Tanti has moved to the US for 2024 after signing with the PRMX team onboard Kawasaki machinery following two seasons with CDR Yamaha Monster Energy in Australia.

A crash at Abu Dhabi’s second round of the World Supercross Championship (WSX) impacted his initial preparations and a fall while training in December has caused him to pause any plans to enter 450SX in these early stages of the season.

“Well not the post I want to be doing leading into A1,” Tanti announced. “Not long ago I had a practice crash and I thought everything was okay, but when I rode a few times after and I had some issues and unfortunately found out yesterday that I need to get them fixed. Devastated to say the least, but I’ll be back when I can to continue the series. Thank you to everyone supporting me and the whole PRMX team.”

The actual injury or how long Tanti will be out for hasn’t been disclosed.
