Australia’s Matt Moss and MDK Motorsports have parted ways ahead of the opening round of the 2023 World Supercross Championship (WSX), set for 1 July at Villa Park, Birmingham, UK.

It was announced in March that Moss would make the switch to MDK for the 2023 WSX campaign onboard a YZ450F, but he has confirmed this morning that he’ll no longer ride for the outfit.

“I’d like to thank MDK Motorsports, Mark Kvamme and Steve Aldaco for the WSX opportunity they presented to me,” said Moss. “I have made a decision to part ways with the team to concentrate on a solid WSX and Australian Supercross campaign on the same manufacturer to ensure I am in the best position to put my best results in as I have had some tough times the past two years switching back and forth between manufacturers.

“I wish MDK all the best in WSX and I’m looking forward to working towards a solid WSX and Australian SX program, see you in Birmingham.”

It’s understood that Moss has another ride for WSX lined up, also stating that he’s ‘looking forward to working towards a solid WSX and Australian SX program.’
