Australian motocross mainstay Brett Metcalfe will remain with his Go24 team through both the Penrite ProMX Championship and the Australian Supercross Championship (AUSX) in 2023 after picking up Penrite as a primary backer.

Metcalfe transitioned into the KTM Racing Team for the 2022 AUSX season, replacing motocross-only team regular Kirk Gibbs, but the 38-year-old will be with Go24 full-time this year.

“We’re really excited to collaborate with Penrite, it’s a strong and positive relationship and we’re looking to make it a long term deal,” Metcalfe told MotoOnline. “We’ll race ProMX together, but it’s cool to confirm that we’ll also partner for the Australian Supercross Championship. Basically, I can go on and say we’ll partner until the 24 bike retires, so it’s exciting and I’m really, really stoked about it.”

Last year, Metcalfe finished fourth overall in the ProMX MX1 standings with his Go24 team, notably scoring the moto one victory at Gillman. Unfortunately, injuries sustained at round one of AUSX last year ended his AUSX campaign with the KTM Racing Team prematurely.

Metcalfe qualified fourth fastest at Wonthaggi’s 2023 Penrite ProMX opener before the event was cancelled. Round two of championship is set to take place at Appin, NSW on 19 March, while notably there has been no schedule or venues confirmed for the 2023 Australian Supercross Championship.
