A replacement venue has been named for the 2023 KTM Australian Junior Motocross Championship (AJMX), with the event to be still contested in the Northern Territory and now being hosted by the Acacia Hills Motocross Club.

An announcement was made last week that Alice Springs would no longer host the AJMX this year due to recent safety concerns in the region, according to Motorcycling Australia (MA). A joined effort between MA and Motorcycling Australia Northern Territory has enabled the event to stay in the NT for 2023.

“The strength of our sport was on display through this challenging situation, and we are proud of the people and clubs who put their hands up and volunteered their time to ensure the 2023 AJMX can go ahead and continue to be a highlight event of the year,” said Motorcycling Australia CEO Peter Doyle.

The event was originally set to be contested between 11-16 July this year, with neither of the latest releases from MA indicating a change to this date in light of the replacement venue.
