A national rider line-up has been confirmed for this weekend’s Wonthaggi AMX MX Open, with the event serving as the first real form guide for a selection of our top domestic talent in 2023.

Honda Racing’s national MX1 roster of Jed Beaton – who returns from MXGP – and Kyle Webster headline the event alongside the returning Regan Duffy (GasGas Racing Team) and Bailey Malkiewicz (WBR Yamaha), the latter stepping up to a 450.

MX2 contenders taking to the gate include KTM Racing Team duo Nathan Crawford and Kayden Minear, Alex Larwood (Yamalube Yamaha Racing), Brodie Connolly (Honda Racing) and Empire Kawasaki’s Jai Constantinou, while Emma Milesevic (Honda Racing), Taylah McCutcheon (Empire Kawasaki) and Madi Healy (Honda) are notable contenders in the Women’s category.

There are over 200 entrants as racing commences this Saturday, with $20,000 prize money up for grabs. The event will be full of action on and off the track, with trade displays and merchandise sales across the two days.

Winning in its last running at the end of the 2021 season was Webster in the premier class, with Yamaha-equipped Rhys Budd taking the overall honours in the Pro Lites category.
