The 2023 Penrite ProMX Championship calendar has been completed with Maitland, New South Wales, confirmed as round four of the season in a two-day schedule.

Maitland will be held on 7 May and was the final event of the eight-round series to be made official, however, further information on the format hasn’t been outlined.

“Maitland has become a really important part of the ProMX championship,” stated Motorcycling Australia (MA) CEO Peter Doyle. “We are very much looking forward to this huge two-day event in 2023 and I am sure the locals will be excited about seeing the best motocross racing in the country.

“While the club has suffered a recent setback via a canteen fire, we will work with them to not only ensure all is ready for the round in May, but that the round is another stand out in terms of the racing, crowd and professionalism.”

Last season at Maitland saw eventual champions Aaron Tanti (CDR Yamaha Monster Energy) and Wilson Todd (Terrafirma Honda Racing) won MX1 and MX2 respectively. Both went 1-1 in what was round five of the series.
