Coffs Harbour to host the official ‘retro’ round six of the 2022 Penrite ProMX Championship

ProMX press release:

ProMX going ‘retro’ for the Round will see the exciting inclusion of the fan favourite Pre-95 and Classic Evo Cup Classes, which will be hotly contested by vintage Motocross enthusiasts and past Champions alike. In years past we have seen Australian Motocross legends such Craig Anderson battling for wins in the Classic Evo Cup, to massive fan and industry approval alike.

If that isn’t enough to wet your retro whistle, Coffs Harbour fans will also get to witness the elite Factory Race teams and privateers alike across the THOR MX1, Pirelli MX2 and Maxxis MX3 classes, rocking special one off throwback sticker kits, number plates and even gear sets to get into the “Retro” spirit.

“Motorcycling Australia is thrilled to be seeing ProMX go “Retro” at Coffs Harbour”, said MA CEO Peter Doyle.

“Australia has an incredible history of national level Motocross competition. Celebrating the heritage of the sport with the “Retro” Round gives everyone involved in the ProMX pits and most importantly the race fans, a chance experience a taste of Motocross nostalgia across the Pre-95 and Classic Evo Cup Classes on track throughout the day.”

“One of my favourite aspects of the “Retro” theme is seeing the current factory superstars of ProMX battling it out with retro graphics, number plates and even riding gear. It gives the event a real festival of speed feeling whilst providing incredible on track entertainment”, concluded Mr. Doyle.

Round 6 of the 2022 Penrite ProMX Championship presented by AMX Superstores will take place as the “Retro” Round at Coffs Harbour on the 24th July.
