A commanding EnduroGP of Portugal by Wil Ruprecht saw the Australian take victory on both days in Enduro 2 and EnduroGP, rising to the top of the standings in each category following the second round of the 2022 season.

The success in round two marks Ruprecht’s first victories of the year in the series, holding off the hard-charging Josep Garcia throughout both days.

“It’s been an awesome weekend going 1-1,” Ruprecht explained. “Conditions were dry, dusty, and proper tough. I’m pleased with myself to have ridden maturely and strong on both days – it was a fine line between pushing hard and pushing too hard and crashing.

“We’ve got a few weeks to go until round three and motivation is high to keep this rhythm going.”

The TM Boano Factory Racing rider leads the EnduroGP Championship standings by a single point, as he sits atop of Enduro2 with an advantage of five.

The next round of the 2022 EnduroGP World Championship takes place in Italy on 24-26 June, and is the third of seven rounds in this year’s series.
