A perfect weekend in Cherrabah for Kyron Bacon, Josh Green and Andy Wilksch saw the trio again emerge on top during round two of the 2022 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) in E1, E2 and E3 respectively.

ShopYamaha’s Bacon – again quickest of all categories outright – was joined on the E1 podium by Korey McMahon (GasGas) and Jeremy Carpentier (JGR Yamaha) on Sunday.

Green (ShopYamaha) was victorious in E2 ahead of Husqvarna-mounted Todd Waters, getting the better of Michael Driscoll (ShopYamaha), who completed the rostrum.

Wilksch (Husqvarna) continued to impress in his return to AORC, atop of E3 for the second-consecutive round by leading Jonte Reynolds (Sherco) and Stefan Granquist (KTM).

JGR Yamaha’s Jess Gardiner further established her dominance in the Women’s class, this time ahead of Emelie Karlsson (KTM) and Ebony Nielsen (KTM), as Billy Hargy (Husqvarna) notched victory number two in EJ, leading Riley McGillivray, with William Dennett completing the top three.

The Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship moves to Mackay on 8-9 April for rounds three and four of the 2022 series.
