The 2022 season marks a homecoming for Jed Beaton with the F&H Kawasaki team, the Australian labelling constant improvement as the target in his rookie MXGP 450 campaign.

Beaton, 24, returns to the squad after a three-year stint with the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team in MX2 where he achieved multiple podiums before ageing out of the category.

Forced to find a 450 opportunity to stay in the MXGP paddock, Beaton secured the ride in familiar surroundings and experienced a build-up, by his own account stating the pre-season events he competed in went smoothly.

“The offseason went well, we headed to Sardinia which was a first for me,” explained Beaton. “I really enjoyed it there was a nice little island with many tracks, it feels good to be back on the F&H Kawasaki.

“I think the bike suits me really well and I’m adapting to the 450 nicely, I’m looking forward to the season ahead with goals of improving every round on my results and staying healthy all year!”

Matterley Basin will host the MXGP season-opener this weekend, Beaton’s best result at the venue being fourth overall in 2020 in MX2 where he placed second in the opening moto.
