A standalone Australian Motocross Invitational event to be hosted at Nowra Speedway will be headlined by ‘MotoX Skins’, the invitation-only format scheduled for 19 February.

MotoX Skins will feature 15 riders in MX1 and MX2, as well as 10 riders in MX3 competing in a unique short course, round robin race format. The top five riders will advance to the final shootout, with $20,000 in prize money on offer.

Confirmed to be competing is current Australian ProMX champion Luke Clout (CDR Yamaha Monster Energy), who will relish the opportunity to get further gate-drops in before next season after missing essential seat time in the covid-enforced break.

“The timing for MotoX Skins is great, it allows us valuable competition seat time prior to the ProMX Championships,” Clout explained. “Having the opportunity to race in front of solid crowds with an exciting race format will be fun. CDR Yamaha Monster Energy will be bringing our full factory set-up, so we look forward to meeting the fans and gaining great exposure for our sponsors.”

The Australian Motocross Invitational, itself being two days between 19-20 February, will see on day two the MotoX Future Stars hit the short course motocross track, featuring some of Australia’s best juniors, women and amateurs in a variety of classes.

Fans will also see Monster Truck Madness and a demolition derby, in addition to trade displays, industry activations, rider signings and much more on hand. Support classes and additional information will be released in coming weeks, for more information including ticket sales visit www.mapevents.com.au.
