The KTM Australian Junior Motorcross Championship (AJMX) will return in 2022, reset for Rockhampton during the September/October school holidays.

The announcement follows the cancellation of the 2021 championship due to covid-19 state border restrictions, with the focus now placed upon next year’s event after being postponed for two years.

“The 2022 KTM Australian Junior Motocross Championship at Rockhampton will be one of the biggest junior sporting events in Australia next year,” said Motorcycling Australia (MA) CEO Peter Doyle. “After a two-year break between championships because of covid-19 restrictions, we know our best junior riders will be eagerly awaiting the drop of the start gate.”

With the date to be confirmed, the 2022 AJMX championship will be held over five days as the top junior talent from around the country will battle it out in northern Queensland for the national championship.
