The entirety of the 2021 Penrite ProMX Championship remainder is on hold following today’s confirmed postponement of Gillman.

In what marks another setback to the calendar, Motorcycling Australia (MA) has announced that the scheduled 4-5 September double-header event will again be delayed.

The extension of the Greater Sydney lockdown means a date for the South Australian round remains up in the air as ProMX management aims to complete the maximum number of rounds permissible.

“ProMX Management Team is currently working with the host clubs of the postponed events and is reviewing a reconstructed calendar,” a statement read.

“Motorcycling Australia is committed to ensuring the championship can restart as soon as realistically feasible with the maximum rounds planned in 2021.”

The ProMX championship has met the minimum requirements to crown series champions and with the Australian Supercross Championship still expected to commence in mid-October, it’s becoming a race against time if the two series aren’t to clash in the final months of the year.
