Pirelli’s support of the Australian Motocross Championship will continue through the 2021 season, maintaining its naming-rights sponsorship of the MX2 category.

Now under Motorcycling Australia (MA) management, Pirelli has been a longtime supporter of the nationals and that backing will remain this year in the new-look Penrite ProMX series.

“Pirelli are delighted to be partnering with the ProMX series and the MX2 class,” Pirelli brand manager Garry Crilly said. “We believe that the sensational talent on display competing in MX2 will be a great reflection of Pirelli as a brand and the Pirelli Scorpion MX range that so many riders will be competing on across the board.

“Pirelli is involved in supporting the Australian motocross industry across many levels with our race team partnerships. With the addition of the MX2 class partnership, Pirelli solidifies our investment and passion for motocross as a whole in 2021 and beyond.”

MA CEO Peter Doyle added: “To have such an established and reputable brand such as Pirelli partnering with ProMX and the MX2 class is fantastic news for race fans, riders and teams. To have Pirelli support the ProMX championship says tremendous amounts for their commitment and passion for Australian motocross and we are very proud to have them onboard in 2021.”
