Australian motorcycling icon Toby Price has been recognised in the Australian Day 2021 Honours, receiving a Medal of the Order of Australia.

Price, 33, received an OAM in the General Division for Services to Motorsport, one of 844 Australians to be recognised today.

A multiple-time Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC), Australian Four-Day Enduro (A4DE) and Finke Desert Race winner, Price is most widely admired for his gritty performances and great sportsmanship in the Dakar Rally.

The current KTM Factory Racing team rider won Dakar in 2016 and 2019, as well as the World Cross-Country Rallies Championships in 2018. He’s had to overcome a series of injuries throughout his career.

In January at Dakar, Price had once again been in contention prior to crashing out and breaking his shoulder, currently quarantining in Queensland as he awaits surgery early next month.
