Motorcycling Australia (MA) has revealed rounds five and six of the 2020 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) at Nowra in New South Wales have been postponed.

Ongoing developments and health concerns in relation to COVID-19 and government-imposed restrictions on travel and mass gatherings are what ultimately forced the governing body to postpone the event.

“With daily government policy and guideline changes in relation to COVID-19, both MA and OBMCC have made the tough but right decision to postpone rounds five and six of the AORC,” said MA CEO Peter Doyle.

“Together with the club we have made this decision to postpone the event now rather than the day before the race.”

Nowra remains the only stop to be postponed as this stage, with series already scheduled to go on a mid-season break before returning on 1-2 August at Murray Bridge in South Australia.
