Motorcycling Australia (MA) has indicated it’s currently reconsidering its participation in the Motocross of Nations (MXoN), International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) and World Junior Motocross Championship (WJMX) events amid the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

The governing body has set a deadline of mid-April as to what events – if any – it will participate in, and is continually in communication with FIM over the status of the prestigious races.

MA stated the logistics involved in sending teams to compete in Europe and the time required to activate the necessary travel with the current uncertain environment is the reason behind its decision to reconsider participation.

It also indicated that it’s inevitable that it will have to cancel Australia’s participation in a selection of team events, however it will await further information from both the Australian government and the FIM.
