Brayton and Oldenburg top Port Adelaide qualifying

Round two of the Australian Supercross Championship underway.

Three-time reigning champion Justin Brayton has topped SX1 qualifying at Port Adelaide’s second round of the 2019 Australian Supercross Championship in South Australia.

The Penrite Honda Racing contender comfortably earned P1 over CDR Yamaha Monster Energy duo Luke Clout and Dan Reardon, while hometown hero Brett Metcalfe (Penrite Honda Racing) was ranked fourth.

Lawson Bopping (Empire Kawasaki) was fifth, followed by Richie Evans (Yamalube Yamaha Racing), Dylan Long (Empire Kawasaki) Jackson Richardson (Honda, Gradie Featherstone (KSF Racing) and Todd Waters (DPH Motorsport Husqvarna).

In the SX2 category, Penrite Honda Racing’s Mitchell Oldenburg stormed to the top of the timesheets, edging out fellow Americans Jacob Hayes (Serco Yamaha) and Chris Blose (Penrite Honda Racing).

Raceline KTM Thor’s Josh Osby made it an all-American top four – the USA riders finding clear comfort on the technical and sizeable circuit.

Aaron Tanti (Serco Yamaha) was the first Australian in fifth, followed by Wilson Todd (DPH Motorsport Husqvarna), defending champion Jay Wilson (Yamalube Yamaha Racing), Bradley Taft (Empire Kawasaki), Dylan Wills (Davey Motorsports KTM) and Regan Duffy (Raceline KTM Thor).
