DPH Husqvarna motivated to succeed

DPH Motorsport press release:

Moree in far-north NSW will host the eighth round of the MX Nationals this weekend, where the entire DPH Motorsport Husqvarna Factory Racing team is motivated to continue their impressive form in 2019 as the ten-round season draws to a close. The youngest MX2 competitor, Bailey Malkiewicz, is confident of showing the same incredible speed that won him a World Title and the 20198 MXD championship while Todd Waters and Wilson Todd continue to race for the MX1 (450cc) and MX2 (250cc) titles respectively.

Dale Hocking, DPH Husqvarna team owner: “It’s every teams goal to win their chosen championship, and it’s no secret that we really want to win both the MX1 and MX2 titles. Everyone involved in DPH behind all three racers, are incredibly motivated to do everything possible to give all three of our riders the best possible chance of winning. We have three rounds over two weekends left in the season, and although that does mean some pressure everyone is calm, relaxed and working hard. There’s a lot of racing to be done and anything can, and will, happen but we’re in a strong position right now.”

Todd Waters, MX1 – FC450: “I’ve had another great couple of weeks on the DPH Husqvarna FC450 since Maitland. It’s incredible how at-home I feel on the bike and I just really love going riding at the moment. I’m comfortable with my position in the championship, and I’m going to keep focusing on myself, improving the little things to make sure I give myself the best chance to win every time the gate drops. My goal for this weekend is the same – win races.”

Wilson Todd, MX2 – FC250: “I wasn’t happy after Maitland, even though I still have the red plate, the lead is back down to 10 points, so I’m focused on strong starts, and setting a fast pace in Moree. I’m comfortable leading, and even though I’m looking at the championship more than the round, I want to win races and rounds. We’ve got the sprint format this weekend so there’s three gate drops and I’m ready to put the FC250 on top.”

Bailey Malkiewicz, MX2 – FC250: “Every time I show some speed, a small mistake puts me back in the pack, so this weekend is all about concentrating on those small mistakes and putting the bike in good situations so I can put the speed I have to my advantage. There’s a bit of a charge in the second half of the season from a few riders, but I’m confident that I’ll be able to keep moving forward in the championship.”
