Positive and consistent day for Jesse Dobson

Jesse Dobson press release:

Jesse Dobson once again raced his privateer Husqvarna FC450 against the countries best, and most well supported dirt bike racers to finish fifth overall at round three of the MX Nationals in Broadford, Victoria. With two 8-lap races back-to-back and a third 16-lap race to contest over the day, Dobson rode consistently to retain his fifth standing in the championship after three rounds.

Jesse Dobson: “A positive and consistent day for me. It was good to be in superpole again and i felt like my lap was solid even though I made a slight mistake, so I was happy to start the day strong. I got great starts in both the back-to-back races, but lacked the intensity in the early stages of the race, giving me some work to do to stay with the lead riders, and arm-pump became an issue in both races for me, so I was glad to come away with a 6th and 5th. The last race of the day was a slow start, but I tried to relax and pick my way through the field, I fought my way back to 5th which I’ll take. Overall, I’m satisfied with the day, but I want more, I’m happy with my fitness considering the lack of bike time I’ve had and I’m confident as the season progresses, I will too. I can’t thank everyone enough that have become a part of my program. It isn’t a lot, but we are getting the job done, sticking to the plan and I’m stoked!”

The MX Nationals have a two-weekend break before converging on Murray Bridge in South Australia for the first Double Header weekend where both round four and five will be decided across two days of racing on May 4 and 5.
