DPH Husqvarna ready for Wonthaggi

DPH Motorsport Husqvarna Factory Racing press release:

Round two of the MX Nationals will see the Victorian based DPH Husqvarna Factory Racing team make the relatively short trip to Wonthaggi, in the states south east.

Team racers Todd Waters (MX1 – 450cc), Wilson Todd (MX2 – 250cc) and Bailey Malkiewicz (MX2 – 250cc) are confident of strong results and are excited at the prospect of racing a full race schedule, after round one was reduced to a single race due to the severe adverse conditions.

Dale Hocking, DPH Husqvarna team owner: “It was tough to put all that hard work in and find conditions like we had at round one. It was solid weekend for us, but we’re really looking forward to racing full motos, battling it out, and going for the win this weekend. I can’t thank Jarrod (Pyne) and Boyd (Hocking) enough for the time and effort they put in to help make DPH a successful race team, along with all our partners. A lot of work goes in behind the scenes, and I’m proud of the way we present come race day.”

Todd Waters: “I’m really looking forward to racing two motos this weekend. I like the Wonthaggi circuit, and I’m really confident that my program has me as prepared as possible while the DPH Husqvarna team has given me all the tools I need to get the job done.”

Wilson Todd: “I had a strong round at Wonthaggi in 2018, taking both race wins, so I’m looking to do it again. I’ve been working hard on and off the bike to make sure I’m ready and I know I have what it takes. This weekend’s three-race format mixes it up a little and I’m looking forward to going racing.”

Bailey Malkiewicz: “I’ve been working hard since the first round. I’m disappointed to start my season with a result like that, but I know it’s a reflection of the conditions, not my ability, so I’ve stayed focused on the races ahead and plan on showing the field that I’m serious about strong results in my first MX2 season.”
