Raceline KTM Thor shine on dark day

With extremely gruelling conditions at Round One of the Pirelli MX Nationals, the Raceline KTM Thor Team are off to a solid start and have plenty of positives to be taken away from the weekend.

Difficult conditions, left organisers no choice but to change the format to one round in a winner take all moto, for each of the championship classes.

Young gun Regan Duffy had the speed however, a few mistakes during the race would see him have the challenge of working his way through the pack and treacherous conditions. Regan walked away with a 6th overall on the day in the Pirelli MXD Class.

Jy Roberts qualified 1st in the Motul MX2 class, and proved himself to be a dominate force in this years series.
With a solid performance and hard charge surprising race leader Jay Wilson in the final lap with a pass into first position, Roberts walked away with not only the race win but the red plate.

Hayden Mellross qualified 1st in the Thor MX1 class, and felt confident coming into the winners take all race, as the gates dropped Mellross went about his business pushing hard the entire race taking the chequered flag first, however after a in race penalty issued by officials, Mellross found himself in second place.

Hayden gracefully accepted the penalty and vowed to be back stronger and smarter at round two.

Team Manager Chris Woods expressed his delight with the teams results.

“I’m delighted with the team and all the riders performances across the board. They have set a good bench mark for the year and i can’t wait to head to Wonthaggi for Round 2 ” said Woods
