Multi-time champion Dan Reardon believes it’s crucial to improve his performance at Geelong’s third round of the Australian Supercross Championship this weekend in Victoria to maintain his chances of adding a fourth SX1 crown to his list of accolades.

Reardon, who’s finished fourth and fifth respectively at the opening two rounds, has expressed his excitement for this weekend’s stop, which is set to be hosted inside the large and spacious AFL venue, GMHBA Stadium.

The Queenslander has showed strong pace aboard his Yamaha YZ450F, while his campaign at Coolum last Saturday was marred by a flat tyre.

“I’m pretty excited to come back to this venue again,” Reardon commented. “Just to be in a place this big down in this part of Melbourne is awesome. So I’m just super excited for the weekend. This weekend is really important for me to step my game up, I just need to perform better and I think this weekend will be the start.”

The talented number 122 sits fifth in the championship rankings, equal on points for fourth with American import Jace Owen (Complete Parts Kawasaki Racing).
