Wills and Mellross determined to succeed

DPH Motorsport press release:

Coolum, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, plays host to the second round of the Australian Supercross Championship this Saturday. The DPH Motorsport Factory Husqvarna Racing duo of Dylan Wills and Hayden Mellross are determined to succeed after not showing their true form in the first instalment of the five-round series.

Dale Hocking, DPH Husqvarna team owner: “It’s full steam ahead at DPH HQ as we look to secure our current partnerships and search for some new sponsors to help us in the 2019 season and beyond. Everyone has been hard at work preparing race bikes, training, getting surgery and riding to be in the best possible position this Saturday. I think we’re in a strong position with both Dylan and Hayden, although it would be even better if Hayden’s toes had a little more time to heal.”

Dylan Wills: “In the first round, I felt tight on the bike, but my speed was there. Rather than changing my program too much, I’ve concentrated on bike time over the last few weeks and I’m confident that I can put myself in good track positions and challenge at the front this weekend.”

Hayden Mellross: “It has been a roller coaster few weeks with everything thrown at me. Breaking both my big toes definitely wasn’t in my plans. After surgery last week I’ve managed to push through the pain and hard times and now it’s time to have some fun! I’m excited to go racing again this weekend for round two and looking forward to seeing everyone there.”

Gates open at 10am this Saturday (6/10/2018), with pits open from 1:30pm and racing from 2:30pm, so if you’re heading to round one, make sure you come and say hi to the DPH Motorsport Factory Husqvarna Racing Team.
