Husqvarna Enduro Racing Team’s Lachlan Stanford says his outright speed in Kingston SE’s eighth and ninth round of the Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) wasn’t quite there at the weekend.

Stanford lodged a 8-9 scorecard in the outright results, although still managed to earn a pair of runner-up finishes in the E3 category to retain second in the standings.

While the E3 crown is for the most part out of the picture, the Husqvarna ace holds a comfortable advantage ahead of third in the rankings.

“It was a positive weekend at Kingston,” said Stanford. “I was second in the E3 class on both days, but my outright speed just wasn’t quite there. The track had a lot of variety in soil and technicality, and it got really rough, really quick. I’m pretty pumped to head to Omeo now and finish off the season on a high.”

The Australian Off-Road Championship now heads to Omeo in Victoria for the final two rounds of the series, scheduled for 6-7 October.
