Autotrader Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing has confirmed the re-signing of Weston Peick for the 2019 Monster Energy AMA Supercross and Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross championships.

Peick initially joined the JGRMX-operated squad in 2015, and has since lodged a number of respectable results in both disciplines, ultimately earning himself with a one year contract extension.

“I’m excited to continue this partnership,” Peick commented. “The team has been like a family to me ever since the first day I signed with them. Being able to surround myself with such a great group of professionals has been an awesome experience.

“I’m looking forward to improving my results next year and having another season on the Suzuki RM-Z450. Development has gone very well and we will be ahead of the game heading into the Anaheim supercross opener.”

The premier class contender, who will be joined by Justin Hill and Alex Martin next season, is a perfect fit for the team according to manager Jeremy Albrecht.

“Weston has been great for us,” said Albrecht. “He is a team player, and also very tough. I appreciate that he rode through the pain of an injured hand this year and gave it his all.

“He produced good results when other riders in that same situation probably would have thrown in the towel. Weston also really gels well with the Suzuki RM-Z450. There’s great synergy with that pairing.”

Peick wound up sixth in the AMA Supercross standings this year, while he was ranked eighth in Pro Motocross despite missing the final round.
