Alex Martin will transition to the Autotrader Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing Team for 2019 and beyond, where he’ll pilot Suzuki’s all-new RM-Z250 in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross and Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross championships.

Martin, who was previously a member of the Troy Lee Designs Red Bull KTM squad, has signed a multi-year contract that will see him through the 2020 season.

“I’m very happy to be joining the team and excited for the next two years,” said Martin. “The resources that the Autotrader Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing Team has to offer, along with the facility at JGRMX in North Carolina, will be a huge benefit.

“Suzuki is coming out with a brand-new RM-Z250 for 2019, and I’m excited to get great results on the bike. I am looking forward to the next few years.”

Martin’s 250SX West campaign was riddled with injuries, although he bounced back in the outdoors to finish second overall in the 250MX championship standings. Martin is the only 250 rider currently confirmed at the JGRMX operated squad after fielding two riders in the division this year, while Justin Hill and Weston Peick complete the team’s 450 line-up at this stage.
