DPH Husqvarna maintains momentum

DPH Motorsport press release:

Green Park, Conondale played host to the sixth round of the MX Nationals where the DPH Motorsport Husqvarna Factory Racing Team riders Kade Mosig (FC450) and Dylan Wills (FC250) raced to third and fourth place overall respectively.

The results solidify the championship goals for both racers as they maintain the momentum heading into the final four rounds of the 2018 motocross season.

FC450 Racer Kade Mosig: “It was a great day racing, I felt really solid on the bike with everything was working well. I had great speed in moto 1, coming from seventh through to second. I put in and tried to run Dean (Ferris) down, I came close but settled for second.

Moto 2 I got a better start, coming out of turn 2 with the lead. I wanted to sprint and get away, I was really hitting my marks and maintaining my position till the 20 minute mark when I got some really bad cramps in my leg that held me back. There was some really close racing, literally banging bars and I dropped a few positions, finally riding the race out in fifth. I’m still pumped to land on the podium in 3rd. Big thanks to all my supporters!”

FC250 Racer Dylan Wills: “I’m really happy with my riding this weekend. I got 2 decent starts and just raced 2 solid motos! We almost landed on the podium and it’s a really good feeling knowing we’re close. It keeps the motivation to go home and work hard very high so I’m looking forward to a solid week and a half before tapering off and coming in fresh and ready for 2 big days at the ranch!”

DPH Husqvarna team owner Dale Hocking: “It was another great weekend for the team as a whole. Kade continues to show just how good he is on the FC450, with two really strong rides, even if the second moto doesn’t show that on paper. Dylan continues to impress us, growing as a rider and improving in the area’s highlighted in debriefs each and every weekend. Boyd (Hocking) and Jarrod (Pyne) work hard during the week and at the race track, so a quick thanks to them in particular this week for putting in the hard yards behind the scenes each and every day.”

The series now heads to Raymond Terrace, for the second double header weekend of the series on July 14/15 which will prove crucial in deciding the final positions of the 2018 MX Nationals Championships.
