Salvini delivers victory at EnduroGP of Trentino

Husqvarna’s Alex Salvini has stormed to victory at round five of the Maxxis FIM EnduroGP World Championship in Trentino, Italy.

Salvini narrowly defeated Team Beta Factory Racing’s Steve Holcombe in the outright standings followed by Loic Larrieu (Outsiders Yamaha Racing), while Daniel McCanney (Gas Gas Factory Team) and Giacomo Redondi (Honda) completed the first five.

In the E1 class, it was Bradley Freeman (Beta) ahead of Antoine Basset (Gas Gas Factory Team) and Manuel Monni (Suzuki), and in E2 Salvini took top honours over Larrieu and Redondi. Holcombe was fastest in E3 followed by McAnney and Christophe Nambotin (Gas Gas Factory Team).

Australian Matthew Phillips sat out the round, although he’s expected to return for round six of the series, scheduled for 31 August-2 September at Edolo in Italy.
