Murray Bridge’s final MX1 moto saw Kade Mosig become the first rider to defeat Dean Ferris (CDR Yamaha Monster Energy Team) in the 2018 Pirelli MX Nationals, and it’s exactly where the DPH Motorsport Husqvarna rider is looking to pick up from as the series returns from a month long break this weekend at Conondale in Queensland.

Mosig proved to be on a wave of momentum at the halfway point, claiming consecutive podiums at both the Wonthaggi and Murray Bridge stops of the championship, pushing him the fifth in the standings.

Favouring the picturesque Queensland circuit, the popular Victorian believes the break in the series has allowed him to iron out his weaknesses, leaving him confident of a strong return to racing.

“I’m really excited to get up to Queensland – I always enjoy Conondale,” Mosig explained. “The break has been great to work on all the areas I need to improve and pick up where we left off in Murray Bridge.

“Knowing we have plenty of positives from the first five rounds, I feel confident that I have the bike set-up right and I have what it takes. All of us at DPH Husqvarna will be keeping the momentum and be strong in the second half of the season.”

Mosig sits 10 points shy of fourth’s Luke Clout (KTM Motocross Racing Team) as five rounds remain in the series.
