Yamaha Motor Australia introduces YZ65 Cup

Opportunity to compete aboard all-new YZ65 on the national stage.

A YZ65 Cup has been launched by Yamaha Motor Australia, with the first event to be contested alongside the Raymond Terrace round of the 2018 MX Nationals between 14-15 July.

To be held at selected national events, YZ65 Cup competitors will have their entry for rider and parent/guardian covered by Yamaha. New South Wales dealerships will invite a rider each for the bLU cRU experience.

YZ65 Cup riders will be pitted beneath the bLU cRU truck awning with assistance from Yamaha factory technicians. Each rider receives a a bLU cRU hoody and hat, all to be invited to a special barbecue on the Saturday night – all free of charge. More unique acitivities will be announced closer to the event.

“The YZ65 Cup aims to offer a great experience for new bLU cRU members as they take the first step on the victorYZone ladder,” commented Yamaha Motor Australia national sales and marketing manager Matt Ferry. “Our young guns will feel like factory racers with their unique position in the pits next to legends like Craig Dack and world-class racers like Dean Ferris. \

“Only Yamaha can offer the experience of being mentored by the nation’s top race teams and it’s one that we hope will live long in the memory. Our goal is to make our newest bLU cRU members feel part of the family so they remain customers for life.”

Interested YZ65 Cup riders are asked to contact their New South Wales-based Yamaha dealer before Wednesday, 27 June, and all competitors must have a Motorcycling Australia Junior National Competition Licence to enter.
