The FIM has revealed Broc Tickle’s request to his lift his provisional suspension has been denied, which will bar the former Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider from competing in any sport until a final verdict is handed down.

The decision to provisionally suspend Tickle was taken following a report from the WADA accredited laboratory in Cologne indicating an adverse analytical finding of 5-methylhexan-2-amine, a specified substance under Section 6 (Stimulants) of the 2018 FIM Prohibited List, in a urine sample collected from him at the San Diego round of supercross.

It was alleged last month that Tickle’s B sample confirmed the analysis of the A sample, prompting KTM to terminate its contract with him.

It’s understood the 2011 250SX champion is unable to pinpoint how to substance entered his system, which the FIM acknowledged in a statement today: “The FIM has taken note of the claim made by Mr Tickle that he cannot account for the presence of the substance 5-methylhexan-2-amine in his urine.” Tickle’s provisional suspension came into effect on 14 April.
