Husqvarna Enduro Racing Team’s Daniel Sanders has declared Hedley’s third and fourth rounds of the Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) as physically demanding, revealing that pushing the limits on the brutal Victorian circuit took its toll by the conclusion of the weekend.

Sanders dominated the E2 category with consecutive victories to strengthen his points lead in the process, while he lodged a 1-2 scorecard in the Outright combined times, falling just shy of a perfect weekend to KTM Enduro Racing Team’s Daniel Milner in Sunday’s instalment.

“It was a good weekend for me and I was really happy with the Husqvarna FE 450, it handled really well and the team was good also,” Sanders commented. “I put some good, solid times down and it was actually a really hard race physically, just pushing to the limit in brutal conditions.

“To win E2 both days was good for me and I was satisfied with that result, so combined with the Outright win and how close it was today, it was another strong two rounds for us.”

Sanders controls the E2 division by 16 points, while in the Outright standings he’s currently tied for the lead with Milner, which isn’t an officially recognised championship that rather serves as bragging rights for racers across the E1, E2 and E3 divisions.
