Husqvarna Enduro Racing Team’s Daniel Sanders and KTM Enduro Racing Team’s Daniel Milner have each taken Outright victories at rounds three and four of the Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) in Hedley, Victoria.

Saturday’s Super Sprint format saw Sanders narrowly edge out Milner in the overall times by just 0.378s, the pair putting on absolute display for the fans. KTM Enduro Racing Team’s Lyndon Snodgrass rounded out the Outright top three ahead of Josh Green (Yamalube Active8 Yamaha) and Luke Styke (Yamalube Active8 Yamaha).

In the E3 class, it was Milner who reigned supreme as he notched up another win, beating home Lachlan Stanford (Husqvarna Enduro Racing Team) and Andrew Wilksch (Motul Pirelli Sherco Team).

With the Outright win to his credit, Sanders dominated the E2 category, extending out a two-minute advantage in the three stages. Snodgrass and Green closed out the first three, while in E1 it was Styke who secured victory over Fraser Higlett (Husqvarna Enduro Racing Team) and Jack Simpson (KTM).

Sunday’s edition saw another close battle between Milner and Sanders, this time just over a second separating them at the end of the five tests in the Outright standings, however it was Milner who held the upper hand on this occasion. Styke promoted to third Outright with a stellar showing, finishing comfortably ahead of Snodgrass and Green.

Milner’s blistering Outright time granted him consecutive victories in E3, dominating the category with a healthy buffer at the conclusion of the day. In a repeat of Saturday’s results, Stanford and Wilsch were second and third respectively, as it was Sanders, Snodgrass and Green who completed the first three in E2.

Styke backed up his E1 round three victory with yet another commanding display in Sunday’s instalment, rounding out the day with a positive advantage over Higlett and podium newcomer Jeremy Carpentier (Yamaha MX Store Ballards Off-Road Team).

The Women’s class saw Yamaha MX Store Ballards Off-Road Team’s Jessica Gardiner collect victories during both rounds, besting Jemma Wilson (Yamaha) and Sophie Coldicutt (Sherco) on Saturday, while Emelie Karlsson (Yamaha) graduated to second on Sunday followed by Wilson.

The next stop on the Australian Off-Road Championship calendar is scheduled for 28-29 July at Dungong in New South Wales.
