Autotrader Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing has enlisted long-standing fill-in rider Phil Nicoletti to contest a selection of rounds in the upcoming Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship.

Nicoletti has taken on a number of guest roles with the JGR-backed outfit since 2014, and is set to pilot the RM-Z450 in place of the injured Justin Bogle until he returns to adequate health and fitness.

“I’m happy to be able to ride the Suzuki RM-Z450 for the outdoors,” Nicoletti commented. “I want to redeem myself after missing most of the nationals last year, and not having the chance to race the RM-Z450 to my full potential.

“I’m excited to ride the new chassis and continue my relationship with my friends on the Autotrader Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing Team.”

Bogle sustained an injury to his upper arm during the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship and has just recommenced riding. The opening round of the Pro Motocross championship is scheduled to take place on 19 May at Hangtown in California.
