CDR Yamaha has confirmed its alliance with Monster Energy ahead of this weekend’s Pirelli MX Nationals season-opener, which will see the factory outfit now branded as the CDR Yamaha Monster Energy Team.

The partnership brings the Australian squad in-line with Yamaha’s factory efforts across the globe, all of which have a strong connection with the energy drink company.

Speaking of the two-year naming rights sponsorship, CDR Yamaha team owner Craig Dack believes the newly-signed deal will only elevate the profile of the sport domestically in Australia.

“We are excited to reveal Monster Energy as a major partner with CDR Yamaha for the next two seasons,” said Dack. “Monster is a leading global brand and a huge supporter of action sports and racing around the world so we are very pleased to have them on board.

“We look forward to a long and successful working relationship with Monster Energy and I’m positive that this relationship will continue to elevate the profile of racing in Australia and be a huge benefit to both brands.”

The famous Monster Energy ‘M’ will be emblazoned across the team’s new 2018 livery, including Dean Ferris’ number one plated YZ450F that he’ll pilot alongside talented Victorian Dylan Long.

Newry will host the opening round of the MX Nationals this weekend in Victoria, marking the commencement of the 10-round series that will travel around the country.
