Australian Jed Beaton has expressed mixed feelings over his performance at the weekend’s second stop of the MX2 World Championship in Valkenswaad, The Netherlands, where he concluded the event in 12th position.

Coming off stellar opening round in Argentina, the F&H Racing Kawasaki rider was eager maintain the momentum, although after finishing eighth in the opening moto, it all unravelled with a number of crashes that resulted in the Tasmanian salvaging 17th.

“This weekend I have a few mixed emotions,” Beaton commented. “The first race was good for me – I was aiming for two top 10 results this weekend, so it started off good with an eighth. I felt good with the track, so I was going to try hard to better my first moto result.

“I had a bad start and crashed a few turns into the first lap leaving me dead last, I also had a little steering issue and could only manage 17th. All in all we come out healthy and ready for next week in Redsand, thanks to all the team and sponsors for making this possible and the hard work that is done on the weekends, especially challenging weekend like this one.”

Beaton now sits ninth in the championship standings as the prestigious series visits the Redsand circuit in Valencia, Spain, this weekend.
