Rockstar Energy Husqvarna has revealed a special FC 450 Rockstar Edition for the 2018 AMA Supercross season, to be campaigned by factory riders Jason Anderson and Dean Wilson in 450SX.

Paying tribute to its partnership with Rockstar Energy Drink, the heavily-updated FC 450 Rockstar Edition production bike will form the basis of what Anderson and Wilson ride in the factory team.

Committed to innovative product development, Husqvarna Motorcycles have used top-level competition as its base for the development of the new limited edition FC 450 variant. It boasts a series of key engine upgrades – including an updated cooling system, a Pankl gearbox and exhaust – with a more compact SOHC cylinder-head that brings a significant reduction in the external dimensions and the overall weight.

Designed with the goal of offering increased rigidity, the stiffened frame works in collaboration with a lighter sub-frame and a stiffer upper triple-clamp. A series of special parts such as a carbon-fibre skid plate, a Rekluse billet clutch cover, updated ProTaper handlebars and a standard holeshot device strengthen the link to the team’s factory machines.

With redesigned bodywork taking design and functionality to a new level, the FC 450 Rockstar Edition combines race-winning performance with unique aesthetics straight out of the showroom, however it is poised to be a US-only model at this point. It’s understood to be a preview of the base model production bike due for 2019.
