Base 2018 Australian Off-Road Championship calendar released

Six events, 11 rounds confirmed for next season's AORC series.

Motorcycling Australia has released a base calendar for the 2018 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC), revealing dates and selection of locations that will host the prestigious enduro series.

The championship will once again utilise a double-header format at each stop aside from the Broken Hill round in New South Wales, where juniors will feature on the Saturday and seniors on the Sunday, teaming up with Dirt2ride events to run the Silver City Desert Enduro round.

Kicking off the season will be rounds 1-2 in Gympie, Queensland, taking place on 10-11 March. The championship will then move to Victoria, followed by two consecutive rounds in New South Wales at Dungog and Broken Hill, ahead of a stop in South Australia.

The championship finale will conclude in Victoria on 6-7 October. Specific locations of the Victorian and South Australian rounds are slated to be released in the coming months.

Rd1-2 – 10-11 March – Gympie, Queensland
Rd3-4 – 5-6 May – TBA, Victoria
Rd5-6 – 28-29 July – Dungog, New South Wales
Rd7 – 1-2 September – Broken Hill, New South Wales
Rd8-9 – 22-23 September – TBA, South Australia
Rd10-11 – 6-7 October – TBA, Victoria
