X Games has announced it will host its first ever event in Australia in 2018, which is set to take place at Sydney Olympic Park on 19-21 October.

The prestigious action sports event will feature multiple categories across the three disciplines: Moto X, Skateboard and BMX. The ever-popular Moto X Best Trick is set to be one of the favourites amongst Best Whip and the classic Freestyle competition.

In addition to world-class action sports competition, X Games Sydney will feature musical performances, art installations and a festival experience.

The first Australian X Games will have a distinctly Australian flavour, showcasing the beautiful city and culture of Sydney in everything from the course designs to the medals, and highlighting the avid youth culture in Sydney throughout the festival village and live coverage.

ESPN, the leading action sports content provider and creator of the X Games, has collaborated with Seven West Media – Australia’s number one audience company – to bring the X Games Sydney to Australia next year.

Australian athletes hold 138 medals, 45 of which are gold from X Games summer and winter events. Invited riders for each category will be announced in the lead-up to the event.
