Australian Jed Beaton has secured his position on the 2018 MX2 World Championship grid after signing a deal with F&H Kawasaki Racing Team.

Beaton, who contested the EMX250 championship this season before transferring to MX2 with Honda Racing Corporation, will ride a full GP season next year.

“I’m really excited about signing with the F&H Kawasaki Racing Team,” Beaton said. “It’s a very good team and I’m keen to see how the team and I can build coming into and through the 2018 season.”

Kawasaki Europe’s Harrie van Hout commented: “I’m really looking forward to start working with Jed in a few weeks when he is back from Australia. I believe he has a lot off potential since the first day I saw him riding last March in the sand. I think he showed us and the world what he’s capable off doing at the last MXGP in France.”

Beaton won the Australian MX2 championship in 2016 prior to heading to Europe full-time, his campaign highlighted by a breakthrough podium result of third overall in the French season finale at Villars Sous Ecot.
