Multiple world champion Jeffrey Herlings will officially make his Lucas Oil Pro Motocross championship debut in the final round of the 2017 season.

Herlings, who currently sits second in his rookie MXGP class campaign, will line-up at the Ironman national in Indiana aboard an American-specification 450 SX-F.

“Since I was already coming to the US to prepare for the hot and humid conditions that we’re going to face in Florida, I thought it would be a fun opportunity to race against the best riders in America while I am already here,” Herlings stated. “I’m looking forward to a fun weekend with the team.”

Pro Motocross promoters MX Sports prematurely announced the entry of Herlings overnight, only to retract the announcement soon afterwards and then have KTM confirm officially confirm the decision this morning.
