The backpack system can adapt to your intended use when you need it, not only can the shoulder harness be interchanged, the waist belt models have also been designed to allow integration of other elements, further increasing the functionality of the CONFIGR8 pack system. The quick-release buckles are common across the range allowing quick, easy interchanging of all the elements.

In just one system, Zac Speed has offered you infinite possibilities. From a POV camera harness to extra storage or increased protection, you can reconfigure any CONFIGUR8 backpack to suit your sport, weather, duration and storage capacity to just about any scenario you choose.

Most importantly, you may not know now what you need for the future, and that’s no problem – just upgrade to what you need when you need it – the CONFIGR8 system is designed to adapt and grow as you do. With the ever-increasing range of CONFIGR8 products.

The CONFIGR8 system does not compromise the ability of a backpack to do its job well, in fact it’s quite the opposite. Often design and function can take away from comfort and practicality. When designing the CONFIGR8 system, the the goal for Zac Speed was clear – a CONFIGR8 element must enhance the performance of the backpack overall and improve the user synergy with the elements whilst maintaining comfort.

For example, the Octane Tech Vest has been designed so that when integrated into a backpack the system will not roll back on the wearer. The quad load straps counter balance the pendulum effect and keep everything right where it needs to be. The upshot is, it greatly reduces the load effect of the backpack by dispersing the weight more evenly over the entire system to improve comfort.

The POV harness uses the unique CONFIGR8 ladder lock system allowing you to quickly configure any CONFIGR8 pack with a universal action camera chest mount. Within no time you will be capturing video footage from one of the most immersive perspectives available, and it’s priced at RRP $59.95.

The tried and tested EXOTEC chest protector is light, cool and tough. With the quad load strap system the EXOTEC roost protector seamlessly attaches to any CONFIGR8 pack system offering perfect balance and comfort. By minimising the load effect the EXOTEC protector greatly reduces rider fatigue, increasing rider enjoyment and performance, coming in at RRP $89.95.

Chasing more storage? Zac Speed has you covered with the Octane Tech vest, which retails for $129.95. Compatible with any CONFIGR8 backpack you can increase the storage capacity and flexibility of the pack any time you need it. The quad load strap system keeps things perfectly balanced for the longest rides.

The Sprint R-3, available for RRP $179.95, has been purposely designed for short, fast competition rides with its minimal design and aggressive graphics. The Sprint R-3 is a fourth generation pack that adopts the new CONFIGR8 adaptive pack harness system. In keeping with tradition, the Sprint is a low-profile design, minimising lateral and vertical movement. To optimise comfort and stability, Zac Speed has used a vented TPR waist belt system with enhanced padding profiles for improved ventilation.

The Recon S-3 has been designed for intermediate distance rides and is a mid-sized pack. The Recon has the flexibility of free load storage space on the outside with increased internal storage above the smaller Sprint R-3, while the Dakar pack has been designed for those rides where you find yourself a long way from home, offering enough storage (22.5L) and versatility for the true adventure rider. Both products come in at RRP $199.95 and $229.95 respectively.
