Motorcycling Australia (MA) has revealed the Australian 4-Day Enduro (A4DE) will return to its birthplace in Cessnock, New South Wales, for the 2018 edition of the prestigious event.

It was also announced that it will return to its regular slot in the calendar, with the event slated to kick off on 3 April after being run in the later months over previous years.

MA stated there are several benefits to moving the event back to April, such as optimal weather conditions, the possibility to walk tests over the Easter weekend, greater riding conditions and assisting in the 2018 International Six-Day Enduro (ISDE) selection process.

The A4DE originated after the Cessnock Motorcycle Club conceived the idea in 1978 to create an event in Australia that prepares riders and support crews for the prestigious ISDE.

Parc ferme will be hosted by the Cessnock Showgrounds, as up to 350 riders are expected to enter the event, delivering a spectacle for the local New South Wales fans.

The 2017 Yamaha A4DE is scheduled for 25-30 September, set to take place at Toowoomba in Queensland.
