Regan Duffy claimed victory in the Yamaha 125cc Junior Cup’s second outing in the 2017 Motul MX Nationals series at Murray Bridge in South Australia.

Duffy opened up his round winning performance with a strong victory in moto one leading the entire 15-minute moto ahead of Jack Kukas, Mason Rowe, Mason Semmens and and Bailey Malkiewicz.

Moto two saw Duffy once again take out the moto win aboard his KTM 125 SX as he battled Malkiewicz for the entire moto for a well-deserved victory.

Malkiewicz brought it home in second behind Duffy followed by Semmens in third, Matterson in fourth and Kukas in fifth to round out the moto two top five.

Using a perfect 1-1 score on the day, Duffy stood atop the podium with Malkiewicz claiming the runner-up spot ahead of Semmens in third place rounding out the podium.

Duffy now leads the 2017 Yamaha 125cc Junior Cup championship chase by 12 points over Semmens in second position followed by Malkiewicz, Matterson and Rowe.

The third and final round of racing for the Yamaha 125cc Junior Cup class will take place at Coolum in Queensland on 19-20 August at the season finale.
